Teacher Appreciation Week Volunteer

It’s that time of year and Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner. LaVilla will be honoring our 80 teachers and staff from Monday, May 1st - Friday, May 5th and we can’t wait! This year’s theme is “LaVilla at the Movies” and we have a ton of fun activities in store for our shining stars! However, we can’t do it all on our own - it takes amazing, supportive parents such as yourself to help us pull it off. The PTSA has put together a list of our needs and we hope that you will consider helping us make this year one they won't forget.

PRIZES - We will be hosting several contests and games where teachers and staff will have the opportunity to win lots of prizes. We need to obtain a large pool of $5-$10 gift cards. These can be from any place you think they might like and having a variety is part of the fun!

We’ve created an Amazon Wish List (link) to use for ideas but this is not required. Feel free to donate whatever you would like.

Do you have ideas for other prizes such as gift baskets or store-bought baked goods? Great! We welcome any ideas (small or large) that will help us celebrate our teachers!

VOLUNTEER - There are several ways to volunteer and some only require an hour of your time.

Decorations - Friday, April 28th after school

Help us transform LaVilla into a Hollywood!

Paparazzi - Friday, May 5th from 7:45 am - 8:30 am 

We are literally rolling out the red carpet for our stars as they enter the school.  We need to form a group of about 20 people to make up the paparazzi and line the red carpet, take pictures with flash, and cheer as they walk in. It should be a lot of fun and we are giving out some awards to the best celebrity look-alike and most glamorous.

Please drop off any donations to the main office by Thursday, April 27th.
